Interesting to see what other services they add and how fast.
Remembering the “dot bust” days (maybe returning?), it’s not just about aggregation, but combining aggregation, distribution, and lots of other factors ultimately around creating something really simple for the end user... Oh along with a bit of a monetization idea in the back of your head!!
I think these guys are thinking smart and could be on to something, just by looking at the order they are releasing functions.

Journalism Business Model: Broken or Fixed
People are talking about journalism being broken.
I'm wondering if it's finally starting to get fixed along with both a
supporting business model based on a gradient scale of value from
broad gossip to socially relevant targetted and actionable utility.
My thoughts are around packaged journalism which takes views from the
masses, mixes them with quality stories, adds utility with objects
that can help with action and redistributes something new - a relevant
learning with actionable utility.
Publishers, broadcasters and journalists being mashers of news,
utility and populism. Same as always but with monetization based on
social relevance.
....or I am just really jetlagged from being on planes every day!
